Regina snow removal · 2026–27

On a typical Regina driveway, a tractor can handle most of the snow. Clearing right up against the garage doors takes additional work, and so do front walkways and city sidewalks. That's why the cost of snow removal in Regina can vary depending on what a homeowner needs cleared.

For the 2026–27 winter, Weed Pro's residential snow removal starts at $175/month + GST for Driveway Only and $290/month + GST for Standard. We offer fixed monthly pricing for the winter season, with no separate charge each time our crew visits.

Here's what our plans cost, what's included, and how they compare with paying for snow removal one visit at a time.

Snow Removal Prices in Regina for 2026–27

Weed Pro prices residential snow removal according to your property's size, layout and the amount of hand shovelling required.

Our published prices for this winter are:

Property LevelDriveway OnlyStandard
Level 1: Typical 1–3 car driveway$175/month$290/month
Level 2: Larger front entry or additional hand shovelling$175/month$315/month
Level 3: Corner lot or long driveway$195/month$355/month

All prices are plus GST. Our office reviews your property before confirming the final price.

The Driveway Only price is the same for Levels 1 and 2 because neither includes hand shovelling. With Standard, larger front entries, extra walkways and other areas requiring manual clearing take more time, which is reflected in the price.

How Does Seasonal Billing Work?

Our monthly rates cover November through March. Full-season customers also receive snow removal in October and April at no additional charge. There are no separate per-visit charges.

Level 1 $875 $1,450
Level 2 $875 $1,575
Level 3 $975 $1,775

Totals are based on five billed months. Prices exclude GST and applicable discounts.

What's Included in Each Snow Removal Plan?

Weed Pro tractor-mounted snow blower clearing snow in Regina

Driveway Only

From $175 /month + GST

Driveway Only covers the accessible driveway using our tractor-mounted snow blower. It's intended for homeowners who want the main driveway cleared but don't mind doing some shovelling themselves.

Hand shovelling isn't part of this plan. Approximately one to two feet of snow will remain directly in front of the garage doors, and you'll need to clear that section yourself.

Our equipment also can't clear snow behind parked vehicles. For longer or unusually shaped driveways, we service the areas the tractor can safely reach.

Worker shovelling snow from a residential walkway in winter

Standard

From $290 /month + GST

Standard includes driveway clearing where applicable, with hand shovelling right up to the garage doors. The front entry, walkways and city sidewalk are also covered according to your property's layout.

For a typical home, our crew takes care of the areas you use to get from your front door to your vehicle, along with the public sidewalk in front of the property.

Both plans include driveway markers and email notifications before and after service. We complete snow removal within 24 hours after snowfall ends, using our own crews and equipment rather than subcontracting the work to another snow removal company.

There are a few property restrictions. Backyards aren't covered under our regular seasonal plans, gravel driveways aren't accepted, and long driveway sections narrower than approximately 10 feet may be unsuitable for our equipment. Residential service is available within Regina city limits only.

Local rules

What About City Sidewalks?

Regina homeowners are responsible for clearing the public sidewalks bordering their properties.

Under the City of Regina's sidewalk snow clearing rules, most properties have 48 hours after a snow event to clear their sidewalks. Properties in the designated Schedule B area, primarily downtown, have 24 hours.

For corner lots, this includes the sidewalks along both the front and side of the property.

If a sidewalk isn't cleared, the City can issue a Notice of Non-Compliance. Continued non-compliance can result in the City arranging the clearing and adding the cost to the property owner's taxes.

Choosing a payment model

Seasonal Snow Removal vs. Paying Per Visit

Regina homeowners generally have two options when hiring someone to clear snow: arrange ongoing seasonal service or pay for individual visits.

Paying Per Visit

With per-visit snow removal, you're charged each time the contractor clears your property. Some companies take one-time bookings, while others arrange recurring service and bill for each visit.

This works for homeowners who normally do their own shovelling but occasionally need help after a large snowfall, during a vacation or when they're unable to clear the snow themselves.

The final cost depends on how often you need service. You also need to know whether the quoted visit covers just the driveway or includes areas requiring hand shovelling.

Fixed Monthly Seasonal Service

Weed Pro's seasonal program has a set monthly price from November through March. There are no additional per-visit charges during the service period, regardless of how many snow events occur.

For example, a Level 1 homeowner on our $175/month Driveway Only plan pays $875 + GST across the five billed months. That amount doesn't change because February happens to bring more snowfall than December.

The same fixed rate applies in a winter with fewer snow events.

Seasonal service generally appeals to homeowners who want their snow removal arranged for the winter rather than booking individual visits. Paying per visit may be more economical for someone who only needs occasional help.

When comparing the two, request quotes for the same areas of your property and check how frequently the contractor will provide service.

Before you book

Seven Questions to Ask Before Signing a Snow Removal Contract

  1. Exactly which areas will be cleared?Confirm the driveway, garage-door area, front entry, steps, walkways and city sidewalk. Corner lots can have considerably more sidewalk than a typical property.
  2. When will the crew come out?Find out what amount of snowfall triggers a visit and how drifting snow is handled. Weed Pro clears after snow events. If you have specific expectations about light snowfall or drifting, talk to our office before booking.
  3. How quickly will the work be completed?Check when the contractor's response window begins. Weed Pro's 24-hour commitment is measured from when snowfall ends.
  4. What happens when the driveway is blocked?Parked vehicles can prevent equipment from accessing parts of your driveway. Ask how the contractor handles those situations and the compacted snow ridges that city plows sometimes leave at driveway entrances.
  5. Are there any additional charges? Check for limits on service visits, heavy-snowfall surcharges and unusual clearing requests. Weed Pro's regular seasonal plans have no per-visit charges. We provide snow clearing only and do not offer salting or ice breaking services.
  6. Who actually does the work?Ask whether the contractor uses its own employees and equipment, whether the company carries appropriate liability insurance and how you'll know when the clearing is finished.
  7. How does the agreement renew or end?Review the service dates, payment schedule and cancellation requirements. Weed Pro's regular seasonal plans renew annually unless cancelled.
